About Liebenart

Liebenart is a Cape Town-based photography studio working across

fashion, portraiture, editorial and fine art.

I photograph people, mostly.

Models building portfolios. Individuals wanting something a little less ordinary.

Designers and fashion brands creating lookbooks and campaigns.

Artists, performers and interesting humans who have a story worth turning into an image.

My work sits somewhere between photography and visual storytelling.

When the brief calls for restraint, I keep things clean, natural and considered, particularly for model portfolios, agency work and commercial projects. But left to my own devices, I tend to wander a little further from reality.

​

My personal aesthetic is cinematic, atmospheric, unearthly and artistic. I’m drawn to dramatic light, colour, movement, texture and images that feel like they belong to a story you’ve arrived halfway through.

Sometimes that means creating something beautiful.

Sometimes something strange.

Preferably both.

I work on everything from smaller individual and model shoots to fashion editorials, lookbooks and larger commercial campaigns, adapting the production, styling and retouching to what the project actually needs.

​

Because not every photograph needs twenty people standing around a monitor.

And not every photograph should look the same.

​

Liebenart is about creating images with identity.

Something considered. Something memorable. Something worth looking at for longer than it takes to scroll past it.
